Detection of Parthenium Weed (Parthenium hysterophorus L.) and Its Growth Stages Using Artificial Intelligence

چکیده

Parthenium weed (Parthenium hysterophorus L. (Asteraceae)), native to the Americas, is in top 100 most invasive plant species world. In Australia, it an annual (herb/shrub) of national significance, especially state Queensland where has infested both agricultural and conservation lands, including riparian corridors. Effective control strategies for this (pasture management, biological control, herbicide usage) require populations be detected mapped. However, mapping made difficult due varying nature landscapes (e.g., uneven terrain). This paper proposes a novel method detect map parthenium simulated pastoral environments using Red-Green-Blue (RGB) and/or hyperspectral imagery aided by artificial intelligence. Two datasets were collected environment series naturally co-occurring, non-parthenium (monocot) plants. RGB images processed with YOLOv4 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) implementation, achieving overall accuracy 95% detection, 86% classification flowering non-flowering stages weed. An XGBoost classifier was used pixel dataset—achieving 99% each growth stage class; all materials received discernible colour mask. When plants artificially combined various permutations, class, again receiving accurate Performance metrics indicate that our proposed processing pipeline can preliminary design detection strategies, extended automated airborne unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data. The findings also demonstrate potential controlled, glasshouse field.

Sesquiterpene lactone variability in Parthenium hysterophorus L.

A population of Parthenium hysterophorus collected in Salta Argentina afforded two ambrosanolides, 2beta-hydroxycoronopilin and 1alpha,2beta,4beta-trihydroxypseudoguaian-6beta,12-olide, as well as five known others. Plants of the fructification from those transplanted from the Puna Argentina at 1200 m over the sea level produced hymenin.

The Combined Effect of Biological Control with Plant Competition on the Management of Parthenium Weed (parthenium Hysterophorus L.)

Parthenium hysterophorus L., (Asteraceae) commonly known as parthenium weed, is a highly invasive plant that has become a problematic weed of pasture lands in Australia and many other countries around the world. For the management of this weed, an integrated approach comprising biological control and plant competition strategies was tested in southern central Queensland. Two competitive pasture...

Detoxification of parthenium (Parthenium hysterophorus) and its metamorphosis into an organic fertilizer and biopesticide

BACKGROUND Vermicompost of the toxic and allelopathic weed parthenium (Parthenium hysterophorus) was explored for its possible use as an organic fertilizer. Replicated plant growth trials were conducted using four levels of parthenium vermicompost (0, 2.5, 3.75, and 5 t/ha) to assess their effects on the germination, growth, and fruition of a typical food plant ladies finger (Abelmoschus escule...

Ecological Impacts of Weed (Parthenium hysterophorus L.) Invasion in Saline Soil

Parthenium density and species richness were found to be more in non-invaded (N-I) sites as compared to invaded (I) sites of Jaunpur district. pH, OC and %N of the soil indicates that the plant survive naturally at higher level of salinity. In pot experiment, plant growth, proline content, TSS content, chlorophyll, N, P and K was not significantly affected up to 1% NaCl (w/w) over the control a...
